Italo’s prototype arrives in Italy
Italo begins technical tests on the Italian network. The prototype of the Alstom Agv high-speed train that Ntv will operate for its fleet has arrived through the Frejus and is now travelling on the Italian railway lines so to undergo a series of tests to validate and approve signaling and safety equipment. The train will begin speed runs on January 14 and will totally cover over 60.000 km on the Italian network between January and July 2010. During the acceleration test it will achieve a maximum speed of 335 km/h. This new series of tests follows those carried out during the past two years at the rail test centre in Velim (Czech Republic) and on the Est European high-speed line in France. The prototype has already covered over 55.000 kilometers.
