NTVs Studies Office is a center for analysis and research that provides research and information in order to create an informed debate on the rail sector.
What it does?
The Research Department prepares the "Papers of the Research Department" on issues of general importance on which to focus the attention of stakeholders.
In order to produce help full information the Research Department will create a corporate library and a series of publications that will be available for free online.
Objectives
Born in late 2009 and sets targets to monitor the process of liberalization at the national and European level in particular for carrying passengers on medium and long distances, consider the development of competition in Europe, domestic and international markets and to promote 'external development of a culture oriented to the liberalization of rail services.
The topic of our research
The topics of our research can be divided into three main areas of research:
- The analysis of the Italian and European legislation with a continuous monitoring of legislative developments.
- Analysis of demand, through a collecting and processing HS traffic data in Italy and Europe and analysis of prospective studies of HS traffic.
- Analysis of the supply with studies of the infrastructure developed on the HS lines in Europe and all around the world with a close monitoring of price trends in HS.
