D. I’ve answered an announcement for a job opening at NTV, how long will it be until I get called?
R. Just because you propose yourself for an opening, there is no guarantee that you will be called in for an interview. NTV will judge all the proposals received and contact those individuals who are held to match the required profile, based on the extent to which they meet the requirements for the job and the level of their past professional experience.
D. I meet all the requirements listed for the position I’m seeking. Why haven’t I been contacted?
R. Meeting all the company’s requirements for the position in question is not always enough to be contacted and called for an interview. When different candidates satisfy the prerequisites to the same degree, NTV carries out an in-depth assessment of their past experience, the sectors in which they have worked, their seniority in the role, plus their skills and specialised technical knowledge etc.
D. I read an announcement referring to 800 new jobs. How do I apply?
R. In 2010 NTV will hire roughly 650 resources to work in the area of passenger assistance and serve as operating personnel. At present details are not available on the professional profiles the company is looking for, nor is NTV accepting applications. The company will publish the hiring announcement far enough ahead of time that everyone interested in applying will be able to do so.
D. I would like to become a train engineer. Will there be hiring procedures for other profiles?
R. By the end of 2011, NTV will have hired approximately 60 train engineers. At the moment, no details are available on the timing or the nature of the upcoming rounds of hiring. NTV will publish the hiring announcement far enough ahead of time that everyone interested in applying will be able to do so.
Will NTV hold a hiring procedure for train engineers already certified for railway operations?
R. Yes, NTV will be hiring personnel with operating experience. At the moment, no details are available on the timing or the nature of the upcoming rounds of hiring.
D. Is it best to send my CV on paper or should I use the on-line CV form?
R. NTV receives thousands of CVs both on paper and through the on-line CV format. To make the analysis and evaluation of job seekers easier, it is best to send your CV by means of the on-line CV form.
How can I send my job application to NTV?
R. To send us your CV, go to the website www.ntvapa.it, in the section “Working in NTV”, “Job Openings”, “Send us your CV”, “Unsolicited job applications”. After reading the disclaimer required under Italian law on the protection of personal information, and after having agreed to have your information processed (as per art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003), you enter your personal information on the CV form and include it as an attachment. Once the CV form has been completed, the page DATA REGISTRATION will open up. Enter the Username and Password (using your e-mail address as the username). To view the data entered, press the key “Preview and send CV”. After confirming that what has been entered is correct, press the key “Send CV”. The application will be entered in the NTV corporate database.
D. How do I know whether the registration has been successful?
R. After you have entered the Username and Password, a page will open with the message “Thank you. Please know that we have successfully received your application”. In addition, you will receive a message, at the email address entered on the CV form, confirming that the application has been registered and summarising your registration information (Username and Password).
D. How can I correct the information entered on the CV form if, while using the “CV preview” function, I realise that there is wrong information?
R. If you are on the page “CV Preview” and you realise that the information entered is wrong, click on "Back" to fill out the CV over again. Once the data has been modified, click on: "Send CV" to send in your application.
D. What is the purpose of the Username and Password?
R. Username and Password are used to complete the registration and to send your CV to the Database, as well as for updating your CV later on; you can also respond to other NTV hiring announcements using the CV registered in our database.
D. What do I do if the system does not accept my Username?
R. Use your e-mail address as your username. If it is not accepted, try again with another e-mail address you use.
D. What do I do if the system does not accept my Password?
R. The Password must have a minimum of 6 characters, including at least 1 capital letter, 1 small letter and 2 numbers; make sure not to mix up capital letters and small letters.
D. How can I retrieve a forgotten password?
R. Go to the Job Openings section, under the box “Personal Page”, and click “Forgot your password”? When you enter your username and e-mail address, you will receive a message in your mailbox. You must come up with a new password and enter the code that appears in the window. At this point the new password will be active, and you can continue the operations underway.
D. I have already sent in an unsolicited application, and now I want to apply for one of the job openings. Do I need to register all over?
R. If you have already sent in an unsolicited job application in the past, or if you have responded to a job announcement on our site, but now wish to apply for a specific position among those that are open, you must open your personal page by entering your registration information (the username and password that were sent to you when you first registered). Then you should click on the link "Positions Open" (for example: Internship in Revenue Management) and select the position you are interested in. By clicking on "Send in your application" you can apply for the position, seeing that the information you entered on the earlier occasion will already be filled in (though you do have the opportunity to modify it, by continuing on and filling out the CV form).
D. I have started the application procedure for a job opening. How do I know if I’ve been evaluated?
R. After screening the applications received, on the basis of the prerequisites called for and the specific characteristics of the position being recruited, NTV sends an e-mail announcing the end of hiring process, the outcome of the screening and invitations to interview.
D. How do I Update- Modify my CV?
R. Go to Job Openings and enter Username and Password in the box “Personal Page”. A personal page entitled “My CV” will open, give you the chance to modify the data entered with whatever information is necessary for evaluating your professional profile.
D. What happens if I do not consent to the processing of my personal data (art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003)?
R. You will not be able to fill out the CV form and send your application to the company.
D. For how long are the CVs kept in the database?
R. There is no time limit.
D. When I try to send in my CV, the page is always blank or in the process of loading. What should I do?
R. On occasion, but only rarely, the software is updated during the day. Similar operations could impede registration. We suggest you try again later.
